BULK AND CONSUMER PRODUCTS
Both are made up of sodium and chloride, but sea salt and classic table salt are produced quite differently.
Sea salt is the result of the natural evaporation of seawater in salt marshes. The heat of the sun and the wind allow the water to evaporate, creating a crust of salt which is then harvested. For table salt, on the other hand, brine is extracted from underground salt layers and brought to the surface where it is then chemically refined, evaporated and crystallized into fine grains of salt.

WE PRESENT TO YOU
3 REAL ADVANTAGES
Crude salt crystals are only washed with pure water. No chemicals are involved, unlike the process of refining table salt. In addition, anti-caking agents are often added to table salt. This is not necessary with a sea salt like MARSEL®. The very structure of sea salt prevents crystals from clumping together. Make a sustainable strategic choice, as more and more retailers ban products containing additives.
How do you stand out from your competition? Thanks to the taste of your products of course. Sea salt helps you do this. The difference between sea salt and vacuum salt is noticeable, especially for applications requiring larger grains. Sea salt brings a crunchy or crunchy sensation, which creates a unique explosion of flavors on the palate.
In addition, numerous studies have shown that consumers find sea salt tastier, healthier and more durable than table salt. More and more food producers are using “sea salt” as a selling point on their packaging.

During extraction, sea salt comes in the form of coarse, irregular salt crystals. The advantage? Sea salt can be reduced to more or less fine crystals as desired, unlike table salt. You can therefore choose a suitable grain size according to each product. Whether you want to season snacks, complement a spice blend, add salt to sourdough bread, or add a little extra punch to another product, sea salt is always ideal. Sea salt is therefore clearly a sustainable and tasty choice for your products, whether organic or not.
